Episode 40: YeeHaw I Guess: The Super Bowl, The Halftime Show, & Beyoncé
The Super Bowl was the most-watched televised event since the moon landing, with a viewership of 123.4 Million. From Taylor & Travis, Usher, the WAG fashion, and Beyoncé, we are in an era of a lovely marriage between entertainment and sports. Vegas was rocking, and it looks like everyone needs a week-long nap after that week.
Usher was a 10/10 in our eyes. With costume changes, cirque acts, roller skates, & dancing —we were living our best millennial lives.
Beyoncé shocked the world with her Verizon commercial that turned into her announcing her act 2 of Renaissance. Our girl has gone Country (!!!!) With two songs, Texas Hold Em and 16 Carriages, Beyoncé had everyone in a tizzy. Not only is this going to change the music industry, but she is single-handedly taking back music that comes from Black origins. She is already at number one on the country charts on Spotify. We are anticipating what this new era will be.
Episode 39: You Need to Calma Down: Let’s Talk About the Grammy’s
Grammy Sunday is the Oscars for music. It was an incredible night full of a well-produced show and performances. We absolutely loved Dua Lipa starting the night off right with her new hit song Training Session/Houdini. We love a big dance number!
Miley was a 10/10, and she seemed like she was genuinely happy to be there. She’s clearly a Pilates girl with those arms.
Taylor stunned the internet with her Reputation-ish look of the night to tell us that she’s releasing new music in April. The Tortured Poets Department. There was lots of discourse online about whether or not the Grammys were the appropriate place for that. As well as if she **snubbed** the legend herself, Celine Dion.
